Pottery Wheel with black bucket for water, pottery tools and sponges.

Freewheelers…… for the potter who has some previous experience on the potter’s wheel and wishes to make a weekly commitment to their practice. During 6 weekly sessions, work on your wheel throwing skills at your own pace, or focus on a project without the restriction of a structured course.

Join a vibrant community of fellow makers on their pottery journey, exchange ideas, experiment and grow as a potter. I will be on hand to give tips, advice and share knowledge as you lose yourself in clay.

How much does it cost? 6 x 3 hrs sessions at £240.00.

What’s included? Wheel, tools, apron, 12.5kg bag of stoneware clay to throw, glazes and firings. For final makes, extra clay, including glazing and firings can be purchased at £5 per 1kg (bone dry weight before glazing).

Firing Information: Bisque firing at cone 06 or 04 (998 / 1063c) and glaze firing at cone 6 or 9, with a max cone 10 (max 1285c) available as a whole kiln load (extra £15.00 firing charge applicable). Fired pieces will be ready for collection 3-4 weeks after the end of the 6 sessions, depending on firing schedules.
