Whether you are looking for a solo experience, a date night with a difference, a team event or getting a group of friends together, Taster classes are fun, engaging, and relaxed experiences specifically designed for complete beginners.

After warmly welcoming you to the Studio, I will provide a thorough and detailed demonstration on how to effectively use the potter’s wheel. Once you are familiar with the basics, you will be encouraged to explore your creativity and let loose with plenty of clay, the necessary tools and hands-on guidance. Just bring your imagination and an eagerness to learn as you prepare to create your own unique, handmade pottery masterpiece.

Pottery making can sometimes get a bit messy, so I recommend that you wear suitable clothes, shoes, trim long nails and tie back long hair to ensure that nothing comes in the way of your creative expression and enjoyment. Towards the end of the session, you will have the opportunity to select your favorite piece for glazing and firing.

Depending on our firing schedule, your beautifully crafted pot will be ready for you to collect approximately 3-4 weeks after the class. If you wish to have more than one pot fired, there is an additional fee of £10 per pot.
